On the strength of MVP candidate Matt Ryan and a defense that bends but rarely breaks, the Falcons currently stand as the league's only undefeated team.

At 8-0, Atlanta will put their streak to the test against the division-rival and suddenly resurgent Saints on Sunday. If they do get their ninth victory, could the Falcons run the table all the way to 16-0?

Roddy White says yes.

“I’m hoping so,” White told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I think we have the pedigree to do it.”

The playmaking receiver points to a tight-knit lockerroom and consistency as reasons as to why it may happen.

“How we are on offense and defense and how we are as a team,” White said. “This locker room is very united right now. Every week, we expect to win. There is not a team that I felt like when we went into a ball game this year that we didn’t feel like we were going to win. I think we can (go undefeated.) We just still have to be consistent, don’t turn over the ball and get turnovers. That’s been the key to winning games all over the league this year. If we can continue to do that, we’ll be just fine.”

The Falcons' remaining schedule reads as such: Saints, Cardinals, Bucs, Saints, Panthers, Giants, Lions and Bucs. With a slew of divisional matchups and a Week 15 meeting with Big Blue, the docket appears daunting. However, Atlanta employs the fourth-ranked defense in the NFL and Ryan is playing at an astoundingly high level.

If those two factors remain constant, there's no reason why they couldn't, in fact, join the '07 Patriots in the record books.
