The New England Patriots stress that they are a family. Apparently, members of that family who are no longer employed by the team still feel a certain responsibility to the New England franchise to stand up for what they perceive as problems with current Patriots.
First, former Pats linebacker Tedy Bruschi knocked Chad Ochocinco for what he said was unprofessional behavior when he was in awe of what teammate Tom Brady did in the season opener against the Miami Dolphins. Bruschi knocked Ochocinco for not being a true teammate and player, saying he acted more like a casual fan.
Of course, this seems to be a common issue with the Patriots, where the media and fans want to discuss more things that happen off of the field than what actually takes place on the gridiron. Then again, the Pats do seem to give them more reasons for these non-stories than other NFL teams.
