This Given Sunday:
It's no secret that Roger Goodell is not an adored figure among NFL players, and a USA today poll of players confirmed that today. According to the poll, 61% of NFL players disapprove of the job Roger Goodell has done as commissioner of the NFL, leaving an approval rating of just 39%. 300 players were polled, leaving a 5% margin of error. Players are often the target of fines levied by Goodell and the NFL, and as such, it's no surprise that those being fined would disapprove of the system they're working under. Still, that's not the only reason players are upset. Along with fines that have proven to be ineffective in increasing player safety, Goodell's insistence that he's making changes in the name of player safety aren't going over well. Steelers linebacker James Harrison weighed in on topic, "I feel like what he's doing is not totally for the safety of players. ... A lot of stuff they've done, (such as) fining guys crazy amounts of m...

Roger Goodell took time out of his busy pre-Super Bowl schedule to hold an AMA, or ask me anything, on Reddit Monday afternoon.
The commish avoided questions like “If Jonathan Vilma and a dog were trapped in a car on fire and you could only save one of them, what would you name the dog?” from Reddit user vitey15, but he did tackle some controversial issues.
One question Goodell...
Even George Bush is like damn homie….
There are various reasons why players in general don’t like Roger Goodell, but I think it is summed up best by Steelers James Harrison.
“I think it’s obvious that I disapprove.” Harrison has been fined more than $100,000 in his career for hits the NFL has deemed against the rules.
“I feel like what he’s doing is not totally for...
The past couple of seasons for the NFL haven’t been very good for commissioner Roger Goodell’s image. It is apparent that Goodell wants to make the [...]
Hard to believe, but the Pro Bowl just got funnier. During Train’s performance, one of the Pro Bowl dancers got a little excited and exaggerated her jump, letting her shirt ride up and showing off an elite level camel toe in the process. Commissioner Roger Goodell may opt to suspend her for leading with the lobster claw.
She looks naked, but she’s not naked; just...
The future of the Pro Bowl is still in doubt, but maybe not as much as it was even Sunday night.
While NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and many others around the NFL continue to prepare for Sunday’s Super Bowl in New Orleans, the future of the league’s all-star game still hangs in the balance.
With the Super Bowl media frenzy already shifting into overdrive, Goodell took to Reddit...

After a two year stretch of what some people viewed
as lackluster performances by players in the Pro Bowl both NFC and AFC players

effort in the all-star game is NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell who threatened to

Peyton Manning urged the Pro Bowl players to take the game seriously and to play hard so that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell doesn’t get rid of the game. It appears as though J.J. Watt received that message loud and clear. Even after the injury, Watt continued playing, and had a special message for the Commissioner telling him that they’re playing hard. You have to love...

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By JIM LITKE AP Sports Columnist Super Bowl week is beginning to resemble one of those family reunions where your crazy uncle says something outrageous, but just true enough to spark a discussion worth having.
Two years ago, it was Steelers linebacker James Harrison ripping the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell for excessive fines on the violent hits that...
