Regardless of how Dez Bryant is viewed by outsiders, Tony Romo says the highly-talented wide receiver has done nothing to hurt the Dallas Cowboys. Television cameras have caught Bryant having some animated moments on the sidelines this season, and while some might interpret that as having a negative impact on the team, Romo assured reporters that is not the case. "Dez is great," Romo told reporters following Wednesday's practice. "His emotion, there is never a negative emotion that comes from it. It's just positive consistently." Romo added: "He's just a kid who loves playing the game. He's passionate. But there is never any malice or anything negative involved. Cameras can catch whatever they want; he is never mean to another person or anything like that. He just wants to win and he's excited about being out there playing. We're lucky to have him." Reporters continued to ask Romo about Bryant's sideline emotion and even made comparisons to one of Romo's former targets: Terrell Owens. But Romo didn't agree with that comparison. "Dez has done nothing that takes away from anything," Romo said. "Dez does a great job. Always upbeat, positive." Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett agrees that he likes the passion that Bryant shows on the sidelines. We like guys who are passionate about playing football. Theres no question about that," Garrett said. "Any emotion that guys have on our football team seems to me to be really positive, trying to do what they can to help contribute to us winning." "Dez is a guy who loves playing football. In his sophomore season, Bryant has 22 catches for 367 yards and four touchdowns through six games. Through his first six games as a rookie, Bryant had 22 catches for 265 yards and three touchdowns. The former first-round pick has one 100-yard game in 18 career games.
