Chris Owusu might have found some rosters that would be easier for an undrafted rookie free agent to crack, but he chose to sign with the San Francisco 49ers. Owusu has a relationship with coach Jim Harbaugh from his time at Stanford and believes he will get a fair shake, Owusu would almost certainly have been drafted had it not been for three concussions in his final two seasons in school. For me, the draft's only the beginning, Owusu told the San Francisco Chronicle. It's not the end. The 49ers have done considerable work to upgrade their depth chart at the position this offseason, drafting A.J. Jenkings in the first round and signing Mario Manningham in free agency. After the Niners spent the previous eight years underachieving or just straight embarrassing themselves in a watered down division, new head coach Jim Harbaugh came from Stanford University and gave...

Just because you win a criminal court case doesn't mean the issue is dead. New 49ers cornerback Perrish Cox, who in March was acquitted of two felony charges of sexual assault, is now facing a civil suit related to the same 2010 encounter, according to Courthouse News Service. Both he and former teammate Demaryius Thomas, a receiver for the Broncos, are named in the suit. The...
