People make mistakes.
Larry Foote made a dreadful one when he decided to leave the Steelers last season. Displeased with the possibility of serving as a backup, Foote left the Steelers for the Detroit Lions on a one year deal. Fresh off winning Super Bowl XLIII, Foot left the number one team in the NFL to play for...the worst. I don't understand the logic. One player cannot fix a team with myriad problems and Foote is no exception.
Mistakes often lead to regrets if not corrected.
When the Lions offered Foote another one year contract this offseason, he declined. Clearly realizing the err of his ways, Foote decided it was time to return home to Pittsburgh. No regrets. He's back with a winner.
"It's all about winning in this league and having fun," said Foote. "I know the coaches here and the guys here that I love and the community and town. Seeing the (Terrible) Towels and the black and gold ... it was a weird feeling being on that (opposite) sidel...
