Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark has been putting in extra reps lately, clarifying some comments he made about New England quarterback Tom Brady. While Clark hasn’t backed down from his initial statement — that Brady “sees ghosts” and ducks and flinches when pressured — he has made it clear in recent days that his assessment being true doesn’t necessarily make Brady any less of a quarterback. First, Clark agreed with former Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi‘s view, that Brady avoiding pressure is smart since he needs to preserve his health for the good of the team. Now, Smith is kicking it up a notch and complimenting Brady with no reserve. Clark was asked which quarterback he thinks is the hardest to face. “Ghosts or no ghosts, I have to go with the greatest living American, and that’s Tom Brady,” Clark said, according to ESPN.com. “You know, I said what I said, and I do believe it, and it’s true.
