Following the New York Jets dismal performance on Monday night Terrell Owens let the team know he was available. “Hey JETS!!! I’m available! I’m ready, willing & able! Call my agent & let’s make it happen” Owens tweeted. To say the Jets are thin at wide receiver is an understatement. The Jets have three healthy wide-outs and have shown to be one of the worst offensive teams in football. Tuesday morning Jets coach Rex Ryan did not suggest the Jets were considering Owens but he did not rule out the matter either. “You never say never to anything,” he said. “You look at your situation. I would assume we’d go with the same crew.” Veterans Plaxico Burress, who spent last season with the team, and Chad Johnson are also looking for work. Owens, 38, has not played in the NFL since the 2010 season with the Cincinnati Bengals. That season Owens caught 72 passes for 983 yards and 9 touchdowns.
