The Ryan Fitzpatrick experience is in year four in Buffalo and the best he has done until this point, is five wins. In order to understand the quarterback a little better, let's look at where he came from.Fitzpatrick was the 250th pick (seventh round), of the St. Louis Rams in the 2005 Draft. He started three games late in the season, after Rams starting quarterback, Jamie Martin, suffered an injury. In 2008, the Rams traded Fitzpatrick to the Cincinnati Bengals for a seventh-round draft pick.During his time in Cincinnati, Fitzpatrick saw very limited action as Carson Palmer's backup, until Palmer went down with a season-ending injury in the 2008 season.Fitzpatrick started 12 games and finished with a record of 4-7-1. He completed 59.4 percent of his passes and had a passer rating of 70.Apparently, this was enough for Buffalo to make a move for Fitzpatrick. He signed with the Bills before the start of the 2009 season and started the season as Trent Edwards' backup. Once more, Fitzpatrick would find his way onto the field, due to an Edwards injury. Fitzpatrick finished the 2009 season 4-4, and his stats were very similar to the year before in Cincinnati. In 2010, the Bills hired Chan Gailey to be the head coach and Gailey decided to roll with Edwards to start the season. After an 0-2 start, Fitzpatrick took over as the Bills' starter and he hasn't relinquished the position yet, but is his stay up in Buffalo after compiling an 18-29 record through Week 13 of this season. The Bills have not been to the playoffs since 1999 and they are long overdue in Ralph Wilson's eyes and the fans eyes. Just last season, Fitzpatrick signed a six-year, $59 million contract extension, with a $10 million signing bonus. It doesn't look as though Fitzpatrick will make it to see the end of this contract.Should the Bills move on from Fitzpatrick at the end of this season, here are five landing spots where he might find success. Then again, he may just be a career backup quarterback.
