South Carolina Gamecocks
Florida International Golden Panthers
The 49ers have one glaring need to fill in this year’s upcoming NFL draft and that is the safety position. With the departure of Dashon Goldson, who signed with Tampa Bay as a free agent, the 49ers currently have Donte Whitner who will hold down his starting spot and opposite him are a hodgepodge of names like Trenton Robinson, Darcel McBath, Craig Dahl and Michael Thomas. While it is possible one of the younger guys could step up and make a name for themselves, it’s more likely the 49ers use at least one of their 13 draft picks to select a safety. Here are draft profiles of three potential players the 49ers could land if they elect not to move up in the draft order and snag the top safety prospect Kenny Vaccaro out of Texas.D.J. Swearinger- South Carolina, he is 5’11, 208lbs and ran a 4.6 40 yard dash at the combine with a 37” vertical jump and a combine best 6.7 seconds in the 3 cone drill. He was a four year starter for the Gamecocks and is considered one of the hardest hitting s...
BEST OF MAXIM
When April 1st rolls around, you have to be extra careful of what ends up in the old inbox. Sometimes we aren’t sure if the tipster is serious, or if they really want us to fall for it. But we enjoyed this one that came via the San Francisco 49ers website, where they are touting a new line of clothing entitled the “Jim Harbaugh Collection.” Have you ever noticed that he wears...
According to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle, running back Kendall Hunter and receiver Kyle Williams should be ready to go for training camp.
Both players season went up in smoke on the same play back in November. Hunter is a up and coming running back who will most likely get more playing time under incumbent Frank Gore.
Williams, largely known for his 2011 postseason...
The San Francisco 49ers decided to trick the NFL and their entire fan base on April Fools Day by leading everyone to believe that head coach Jim Harbaugh was starting his own clothing line.
Below is the article the 49ers posted on their site.
With a wardrobe that stands the test of time, 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh is bringing his attire to the masses by launching his own clothing...
Anquan Boldin, WR, San Francisco 49ers
School: Florida State
FANTASY FOOTBALL ANALYSIS
Anquan Boldin hasn’t had a 1000 yard season since his days with the Arizona Cardinals, but he is not an undervalued player. The strong, physical receiver proved his worth yet again last year by catching 65 balls for 921 yards and four...
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the Browns have traded quarterback Colt McCoy to the San Francisco 49ers. The Browns have dealt QB Colt McCoy to the 49ers. Another QB on the move — Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) April 1, 2013 I love this move. If anyone can help McCoy be successful, it’s 49ers’ head coach Jim Harbaugh. This also gives the Niners a viable...
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, free agent cornerback Namdi Asomugha agrees to terms with the San Francisco 49ers.
Nnamdi Asomugha chooses #49ers and has agreed to terms, per sources. He had also considered #Saints. #NnamdiWatch

Asomugha will certainly upgrade the 49ers’ secondary and I also believe he can resurrect his...
Texas Longhorns fans got something to cheer about on Monday when the news broke that one of their favorite sons, Colt McCoy, was released from purgatory (aka the Cleveland Browns) and sent to a quality team--the San Francsico 49ers.
What? He's still just a back up! And now he's behind one of the NFL's rising stars, Colin Kaeprnick! How on Earth could that be good...

San Francisco 49ers Off Season Report
2012 Season Review:
The 49ers were 6 – 2 when their season hit a remarkable crossroads. They finished an unusual tie game at home against St. Louis that lead to their starting quarterback being removed from the game due to a concussion. The head coach turned to the back up and a legend was born. Due to the concussion the 49ers turned the reigns...
The San Francisco 49ers acquired backup quarterback Colt McCoy from Cleveland on Monday.
McCoy and a sixth-round draft pick were acquired by the 49ers in exchange for the Browns fifth and seventh round picks.
The Browns had little to no use for McCoy with Brandon Weeden and Jason Campbell expected to compete for the starting job in training camp. In San Francisco the 26-year-old...
The San Francisco 49ers losing Dashon Goldson to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and iffy play out of Donte Whitner in 2012 makes safety a top priority during this draft. Former St. Louis Rams safety Craig Dahl was signed, but he shouldn’t be considered anything but a depth option.
So what safeties do the 49ers go after?
Well the top so-called top safeties in the draft will be gone...
