Saints looking for WR Kenny Stills to step up and take bigger role in receiving corps

New Orleans WR Kenny Stills is the Saints' No. 3 receiver, but the arrival of veteran Steve Breaston will give him some competition to deal with. The loss of WR Joe Morgan who was projected to be the team's No. 3 wideout leaves Stills with the opportunity to be the opening day No. 3 receiver.

NFL Rumors: Latest News and Notes From Around the League

Well, Week Two of the NFL training camps had at least one similarity with the first week—players sustaining season-ending injuries. New Orleans Saints vs Kansas City Chiefs: 5 things to watch for

Junior Galette The New Orleans Saints will kick off their preseason schedule against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs, despite their 2-14 record, defeated the Saints last season in one of the worst defensive performances put on by the black and gold. Even though it is just preseason, the defense will play with a chip on their shoulder as they try to slowly fight the demons of last...

Saints Nation: Preseason is Here! Five Things to Look for in Chiefs at Saints

The last time the Chiefs came into the Superdome is a game that will haunt me for a long time. Granted this is just preseason, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit I'd get at least a tiny fraction of satisfaction out of watching the Saints skull drag the Chiefs. Beyond that, it really is just another meaningless game that will mostly focus on the second half of the roster...

Preston Parker Stands Out For Saints

New Orleans backup receiver Preston Parker caught two short touchdown passes from Luke McCown in the Saints 17-13 exhibition win over Kansas City.Fantasy Spin:Any receiver who proves he can catch and hold onto the ball can have value in a Drew Brees offense. Chiefs impressed with undrafted QB Tyler Bray

getty images Former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Tyler Bray went undrafted in the 2013 NFL draft but was quickly invited to camp with the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs gamble on Bray may be paying off as the Kansas City Star reports that the 21-year-old has impressed the Chiefs. New Orleans Saints: Player Most Likely To Break Out In 2013

We remember the draft night like it was yesterday. Three years ago, the New Orleans Saints tabbed Mark Ingram to be their star running back, their next Heisman Trophy winner in their stable and the man who would help a running back that needed an injection of life.Since he has been a professional football player, Ingram has been anything but exciting. While he has been lackluster...

Payton read to get back on sideline

Finally, Saints coach Sean Payton gets to do what he loves the most. Nearly 19 months after he coached his last game, Payton will be back on the sideline when New Orleans plays the Kansas City Chiefs in an exhibition opener Friday night at the Superdome. It won't come close to matching the intensity of his last game, a pulsating, excruciating 36-32 loss at San Francisco in...

Saints Nation: Receiving Core in a Better Place Than I Expected

I thought the receiving core depth WITH Joe Morgan was suspect at best entering training camp. When he went down, I wasn't sure what to think. Then I was thrilled by the Steve Breaston signing. Now? I'm not even sure Breaston will catch up fast enough to make the team because the core is so loaded. How things change quickly, but I was thoroughly impressed by how many capable...

Mark Ingram distancing himself from Thomas?

Whether or not Mark Ingram will emerge as the New Orleans Saints' lead back in 2013 remains to be seen. But that's the role he'll be playing in Friday night's preseason opener against the Kansas City Chiefs since fellow tailback Pierre Thomas has been sidelined by an undisclosed ailment. And as a result I have a feeling that Ingram's fantasy football stock is...

New Orleans Saints: Back on the Road to the Playoffs in 2013

With training camp in full swing, there is a bit of pressure on the New Orleans Saints. The team missed out on the playoffs last year for the first time since the season before the championship run.  A number of factors come into play when we talk about where they went wrong during the 2012 season. Yes, defense was at its all-time worst. In fact, it was pathetic. Of course, we all...

Pre-Season Is Here! So…Where’s Your “D”?

For some teams, preseason is well underway. But for New Orleans Saints fans, it officially starts tonight when the home team takes on the Kansas City Chiefs. Head Coach Sean Payton is back!
