Thomas Morstead may be "just a punter", but he's been by far the most consistent Saint throughout the first 8 games of the season. He is my midseason special teams MVP. Below are the special teams GPAs for the first half of the season. Morstead's GPA is not only best of this group, but it's the best GPA of the entire team. This is actually, word for word, the exact same write up I had a midseason last year... Yeah, Morstead is pretty good. The only difference is last year Morstead's GPA through 8 games was 3.29, so he's been ever better this year. Morstead is third in the NFL in net punting average, 6th in gross average, and he leads the NFL in kickoff touchbacks. Thomas Morstead 3.54 (8 games graded)John Kasay 3.17 (8 games)Leigh Torrence 3.13 (5 games)Courtney Roby 3.00 (2 games)Isa Abdul-Quddus 2.33 (3 games)Jonathon Amaya 2.00 (3 games)

2011 Fantasy Football, Week 9 Tight End Rankings: Jimmy Graham Still Top Tight End

Jimmy Graham 1) JIMMY GRAHAM (TB)- Graham had a rough week last week dropping a TD pass and only netting four catches for a season low 39 yards. He is still the #1 TE in fantasy football by a wide margin and I expect the Saints to right the ship this week and put a thumping on Tampa Bay making Graham a solid play this week. 2) ANTONIO GATES (GB)- Gates had a TD called back...

Bucs Working On Eliminating Dropped Passes

This week the biggest concern for the Bucs, obviously, is the New Orleans Saints. But the second biggest concern is the rise in wide receiver drops on the season. In fact Bucs wide receivers as a group are 4th in the NFL in dropped passes. For head coach Raheem Morris this is simply unacceptable, and something he will not put up with. “I know we’ve got a couple more...

Saints Nation: Another Q&A with Bucs' Blog BucStop

For the second time in a few weeks I caught up with Nick Houllis of BucStop. Make sure to check out their blog on the Bloguin Network, which is pretty much the greatest network in the history of man, and give BucStop some love on twitter. I sure hope we beat them this weekend because I'm getting pretty sick of the Bucs holding the edge over the Saints lately. Another season split...

Buccaneers-Saints Preview

The New Orleans Saints failed to take advantage of what seemed like a golden opportunity to increase their division lead last weekend. Following a week off, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are feeling all the more optimistic about making a run at them - especially with LeGarrette Blount expected to return. Hoping to regroup from one of the more stunning defeats of the NFL season, the...
