When Drew Brees speaks, many people listen. And not just in New Orleans. After a training camp practice this past weekend in Metairie, the Saints quarterback fired the latest salvo at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. "Nobody trusts him. Nobody trusts him," Brees said when asked about players' attitudes toward Goodell. "I'm not talking about a DUI, or using a gun in a strip club, which are pretty clear violations. I think there're too many times where the league has come to its decision in a case before calling a guy in, and the interview is just a façade. I think now if a guy has to come in to talk to Roger, he'll be very hesitant because he'll think the conclusion has already been reached." While two current and two other former Brees teammates with the Saints await word from a New Orleans federal court whether their injunction to block suspensions by the NFL from the 'bounty' scheme claims against the team, the court of public opinion to be stirred by more questions about whether Goodell has used his power fairly in this case.

As the issue of concussions and head injuries in the NFL becomes more prevalent, so too do the discussions about it on Twitter. On Sunday night, Jeremy Shockey decided to get in on the act by preaching about the negative effects playing football has on the health of players.

Darren Sproles Takes The Corner
Catch me if you can Juan…
Lots of worries in fantasy circles about the state of the Saints offense in 2012. Color me not concerned. Pete Carmichael knows whats up with this offense and Drew Brees is a surgeon. Darren Sproles role will not change and he should be in line for plenty of receptions once again.
