The New Orleans Saints have restructured guard Jahri Evans' contract to clear some salary cap space, a league source confirmed Friday. Evans did not taker a paycut. The sides converted some of his base salary into a signing bonus, a common practice in the NFL. The Saints will save about $2 million in cap space with the move. Earlier this week the Saints were an estimated $6 million to $7 million under the projected salary cap of $120 million although their cap number remains fluid.
