Saints WR/KR Courtney Roby Cleared To Return To The Field

New Orleans Saints kick returner Courtney Roby has been cleared by independent doctors to return to the playing field, Saints Coach Sean Payton said Monday via the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Roby was carted off the field during a Dec. 12 game against the St. Louis Rams after suffering a concussion. He spent that night in a New Orleans area hospital. When Roby returns to the field is up to the Saints' doctors, who must follow a league-mandated series of protocols to clear players who have sustained head injuries.
