The Packers defense did not let Colin Kaepernick rush for 181 yards again.  This time the  San Francisco 49ers quarterback ended the game with only  22 yards on the ground but still, it didn’t stop him from having another career game against Green Bay.  Kaepernick threw for 412 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-28 victory on Sunday.  The 412 yards is a career high for the young star who had yet have a 300 yard passing him under his belt. Contrary to the playoff game last year, the 49ers did most of their damage on offense through the air as the Packers stuffed their running attack for most of the game holding Frank Gore to just 44 yards on 21 carries.  The read-option also wasn’t used as much but San Francisco found success elsewhere mustering up 494 total yards against an improved defense. Newly acquired Anquan Boldin had an amazing game catching 13 balls for 208 yards and a score and Vernon Davis added a couple of touchdown catches himself for the 49ers. This was a back and forth affair and where both teams traded touchdown drives throughout the game.  Eddie Lacy’s two-yard touchdown run gave the Packers their first lead of the game at 28-24 with 8:26 left in the 4th quarter but the 49ers quickly answered with a five play 80 yard drive highlighted by Boldin’s 43 yard reception.  Two plays later Frank Gore would score to give the niners the lead for good. Aaron Rodgers was his usual efficient self throwing for 333 yards and three touchdowns but it wasn’t enough as the Packers couldn’t stop the 49er offense down the stretch.  Rookie running back Eddie Lacy finished the games with 41 yards and one costly fumbled that resulted in a 49ers touchdown in the second quarter.  The Packers have now lost three straight to the niners after winning the previous nine matchups in a row. The 49ers will visit the Seattle Seahawks in week two while the Packers have their home opener against the Washington Redskins. Game Balls: Anquan Boldin and Clay Matthews Somewhere out there Joe Flacco is shedding a tear after seeing the performance put on by Mr. Boldin. Number 81 did it all for the 49ers.  He moved the chains, he made acrobatic catches, he made critical third down conversion and he even made a clutch catch on 4th down to seal the niner victory.  Although Kaepernick put up monster numbers himself, the day clearly belonged to the veteran who made a sensational debut. Earlier in the week Clay Mathews said that he was going to hit the quarterback and that he did, even late on one occasion.  Matthews was creating havoc all over the field racking up eight tackles, one sack, and three tackles for loss. Don’t forget about… Eric Reid who had an excellent game in his first start for the 49ers with seven tackles and his first career interception.  Reid’s big hits and great tackles in the open field showed that the kid has adjusted real well to the NFL.  Aldon Smith harassed Rodgers all game long hitting contributing with 1.5 sacks.
