If the 49ers and Packers meet again in this season’s playoffs, fists may be flying in the heated matchup.
Clay Matthews was just handed a $15,000 fine for his high-flying, late hit on Colin Kaepernick that then led to a bit of a rumble on the sidelines between the two teams, but one member of the 49ers doesn’t believe the fine is a heavy enough punishment for the crime.
San Francisco’s right guard Alex Boone was asked what kind of fine he would have given the Packers linebacker, and Boone’s blunt response didn’t include any dollar signs.
“Probably punch him in the face,” Boone told Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area. “I don’t want his money.”
After Jim Harbaugh had some choice words for Matthews earlier in the week, he said he had no reaction to the fines once they were announced.
