New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan told the New York Post that Santonio Holmes may not be ready to get back on the field until their regular season opener. “The main thing is, I just hope he’s ready for opening day,” Ryan said. “That’s going to be the goal. We’ll lean on [trainer] John Mellody, and I have all the confidence in the world that he’ll get him right.” Holmes underwent foot surgery back in October and he’s already indicated that he doesn’t plan on running until April, which means he’ll probably be held out of the Jets’ spring workout program.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];

Jets “not clear” if Bucs’ 13th pick is enough

It is time for another rebuttal to a story that was a rebuttal to previous stories which was a rebuttal for… Well you get the hint. To follow up yesterday’s story about the Bucs’ 2014 draft picks comes a story from the New York Post saying general manager John Idkzik isn’t even clear what he wants in return from the Bucs to trade Darrelle Revis. Jets' running backs coach says competition is 'wide open'

The New York Jets added Mike Goodson to complement new offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg's system while filling a depth chart void left by Shonn Greene.But that doesn't mean Goodson will have the No. 1 tailback spot handed to him. "... in my opinion it’s wide open,” Jets running backs coach Anthony Lynn recently told the team's website. “That is what...

Report: Bucs Offer 2014 1st & 2nd Round Picks To Jets For Darrelle Revis

As we reported earlier this week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are growing tired of the games the New York Jets seem to be playing in regards to working out a deal for star cornerback Darrelle Revis.  The Buccaneers are still the only team we hear in regards to the Revis trade, and it appears they are not going away quietly. The Star Ledger via Peter King of Sports Illustrated is reporting...

Ahmad Bradshaw Should Sign with the New York Jets

The New York Jets are so far away from the Super Bowl this season, even Rex Ryan is afraid to talk about it. He won’t admit he is in a rebuilding year though, but I’m okay with that. That’s only because the Jets aren’t trying to rebuild. They just seem to be content falling apart. Even the “strongest” part of their game, played by the running back, is completely missing...

Update: Peter King of SI.com reports that a source has informed him that the Buccaneers would consider trading the Jets their first- and second-round picks in 2014 for CB Darrelle Revis. King mentions that the Buccaneers are the “only serious bidder” for Revis at this point, and there’s a good chance that this is as far as Tampa Bay is willing to go in the negotiating process...
