During last week’s Super Bowl, it was obvious that CBS had no idea how to handle the unexpected blackout that came just minutes after the halftime show. The analysts didn’t know how to break down what happened just minutes into the third quarter and sideline reporters Steve Tasker and Solomon Wilcots had no answers for why the blackout occurred. Bill Cowher even resorted to talking about how the 49ers should replace Colin Kaepernick with Alex Smith. Saturday Night Live parodied the situation perfectly in their cold open this Saturday. In SNL’s recreation, Shannon Sharpe is wondering which player the team should eat first, James Brown incessantly plus 2 Broke Girls then admits he’s never seen it and Tasker is getting very tired of the cameras cutting to him. Oh, and Sharpe says that Ray Lewis knows who killed those two men 13 years ago — because it was Lewis. Relive the Super Bowl blackout in the video below. ...

Word on the street is that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has a new model girlfriend named J Marie.  Clearly this is a modeling name, but we are determined to find out who this chick really is.  For now all we know is that she is an Asian bikini and glamour model.  That's good enough for me.  Check out her hottest pics in the gallery below. ...

Kansas City Chiefs: Geno Smith or Alex Smith Debate

The Chiefs own the first pick in the NFL Draft and the consensus has them selecting Geno Smith to be their "franchise" quarterback.Taking a quarterback at No. 1 carries a very high risk, and the potential to draft a buster while paying them a huge guaranteed amount of cash up front. Is the safe play here drafting a potential bust, or should the Chiefs trade for their future...

Colin Kaepernick’s new tattoos (Photo)

Now that the NFL season is over, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick added some more tattoos to his body.  I think they look pretty good. I don’t have any tattoos and don’t plan on getting any, but I do enjoy looking at the ones that other people get. Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref...

Kaepernick’s New Tattoo:Sexy-licious

“Colin Kaepernick was shirtless” sounds like a good start to any story. This one ends with the words “…getting a new tattoo.” Apparently while some 49ers fans were drowning their sorrows (and setting trees on fire) after the team’s Super Bowl loss, “Kaep the cutie” was drowning his chest in fresh body ink. Whether you care what the final product looks like or...

Why 2013 is so Crucial for the Steelers and Mike Tomlin

Bill Cowher once had three straight non-playoff seasons yet retained his job as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers and later won a Super Bowl. In six seasons as Cowher’s replacement, Mike Tomlin has made the playoffs four times and has advanced to two Super Bowls, winning one. What Cowher and Tomlin have in common though are tough, ‘never-should-have-happened’ losses in...

Grading the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Round-by-Round Value in the 2005 and 2006 NFL Drafts

Remember 2005 and 2006? More people were using MySpace than Facebook, banks didn’t need bailouts and Bill Cowher was still the Pittsburgh Steelers coach. The 2005 and 2006 NFL drafts were the Steelers’ last two under Cowher, and they continued to stock their roster with players who would contribute to Super Bowl teams. Three months after winning Super Bowl XL, the Steelers drafted...

SNL spoofs CBS Super Bowl blackout coverage

Even though we were almost a full week removed from the Super Bowl, Saturday Night Live could not let the blackout (and CBS's coverage) go unspoofed. We were treated to a fairly brilliant cold open during this past week's episode. Keenan Thompson as James Brown really steals the show here. It is a mix of trying to mask his own panic while trying to keep everyone else'...

Saturday Night Live Mocks Super Bowl Power Outage

If it happens and its important Saturday Night Live is probably going to mock it. Your situation or drama is not official until the cast of SNL gets a hold of it. Bend, Don’t Break: Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl Defense

The Baltimore Ravens allowed 468 yards of total offense in Super Bowl XLVII against the San Francisco 49ers, the most ever by a winning team in the NFL’s championship game. This was odd considering the historical perception of the Ravens as a team led by a strong defense, but not for this year’s edition, which was better statistically on offense than defense for only the third...
