Coming into Sunday’s game against Miami, the Seahawks were the third best pass defense in the league. They had allowed just 196 passing yards per game in 2012, much to the credit of the physical secondary in corners Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner, as well as safeties Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor. That’ll all change in Week 13 against the Bears. Seahawks CB’s Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner are up against four-game suspensions for PED use. (AP Photo) According to ESPN, Sherman and Browner have both been suspended for four games by the NFL for violating the league’s performance enhancing drug policy. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that both corners, who have accounted for seven of the team’s nine interceptions, will appeal the suspension. Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk later confirmed the report and reported that the two will continue playing until the appeal has been ruled on by the league. These are the twelfth and thirteenth suspensions in 2012 for violation of the league’s drug abuse policy. It also accounts for the third suspension of such pedigree in November, as Patriots running back Brandon Bolden was also suspended on the same terms. We’ll learn more about the details as more info is released, but one thing is for sure: The Seahawks have taken a huge hit with these two suspensions. Not only are the two successful on the field, but both have a presence in the locker room as leaders. The Seahawks take on Chicago, Arizona, Buffalo, San Francisco and St. Louis in the coming weeks.   Follow us on Twitter @DownandDistance Down and Distance Columnist – Christian Hardy @TheFFaddict The post Seahawks down: Two Seattle Seahawk corners facing four-game suspensions appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE.
