The Seattle Seahawks have a plethora of issues along their offensive line heading into this weekend’s much-anticipated matchup with the Houston Texans, according to their official team web site. All-Pro center Max Unger is listed as doubtful along with right tackle Breno Giacomini. Plus, Seattle previously lost Pro-Bowl left tackle Russell Okung to short-term IR with a toe injury. That makes a possibility of three lost starters on the offensive line this week for the Seahawks. That certainly doesn’t bode well for Seattle’s offense as they are facing a notoriously stout Houston defense. Last year’s defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt will be lining up for the Texans too. He poses an unbelievable challenge for even the most talented of starters. Unfortunately, the Seahawks will likely have rookie right tackle Michael Bowie playing across from Watt for much of the day if Breno Giacomini is unable to go. That also means tight end Zack Miller will probably be forced to stay in-line and block more often than Seattle would like. It should be interesting to see what other tricks Tom Cable and the offensive line have in store for the Texans to help hide the inconsistencies in their depth.
