Seattle Seahawks rookie safety Winston Guy has been suspended for four games without pay for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
The league announced the suspension Tuesday. He will begin the suspension immediately and will be eligible to rejoin Seattle's active roster Dec. 17.
Guy's agent, Greg Linton, says the positive test was the result of an ingredient found in an over-the-counter supplement that his client took. He says Guy has no intentions of appealing his suspension and called it an innocent mistake. Source: Associated Press Attached Thumbnails

Wilson at home, Flynn on the road: Seahawks need to run a 2 QB set
When the New York Jets brought the Sanchez/Tebow show to Seattle, commentators were quick to point out the tandem Quarterback scheme was not an effect use of manpower. The reason may have more to do with the employment and not the concept. The Seattle Seahawks are the best team in the NFL to test this theory and maybe the only team that can make the concept work. Much has been made...

Touchdown Seahawks! Golden Tate does something different
Was Their Any Other Choice?
I mean, c’mon. Golden Tate threw the ball to Sidney Rice, for a touchdown and Pete Carroll was laughing on the sideline prior to the play!
That as a package didn’t give me any other choice. This could be the play of the year, despite the Sidney Rice proclaimed Tim Tebow-esque pass he received from Tate.
This is the second controversy Golden Tate...
Seahawks OG James Carpenter Still Not Cleared To Practice
The Seahawks were back on the practice field after their bye week, and nearly everyone was back on the field as Seattle heads into its game in Miami as a pretty healthy team. Everyone was able to practice except for guard James Carpenter, who has missed the past two games with a concussion and has still not been cleared to return to action.
"James has a couple of tests he...
Wilson and His Receivers (or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Long Bomb)
Over the last few games, we’ve seen Russell Wilson start to come into his own, first with a good showing on the road against the Lions, then with a great game at home against the Jets’ top-five pass defense. As I said in last week’s stats article, the Seahawks appear to have finally found their next franchise quarterback, and unlike the Redskins, who effectively used up four...

Seahawks: Understudies
The Seattle Seahawks have got talent up and down the roster. Currently rated sixth in the playoff seeding, as Wild Card contenders, they have more to prove. In preparing for the role of a lifetime, each member will want to study recent film on future opponents. The great thing about this next round of film study is that they’ll get to study two future opponents...
Carroll and Bush meet again as Seattle faces Miami
When Reggie Bush got his chance to face Pete Carroll in the NFC playoffs two seasons ago, he couldn't wait. It was the opportunity to show off before his former college coach when injuries in the New Orleans backfield left Bush as the featured back.
Then Bush carried the ball just five times and was left watching Carroll celebrate the Seahawks' upset victory of the then...
Seahawks-Dolphins Preview
The Seattle Seahawks have been one of the best home teams in the NFL. If they want to parlay their best start since 2007 into a playoff appearance, however, they'll likely need to play more consistently on the road.
They can start Sunday when they visit a Miami Dolphins team looking to avoid its fourth straight loss.
Seattle has won two in a row coming out of its bye and is...
