Finally a win on the road again! The Seahawks went to Chicago and came out the victors once again as they are quickly becoming the most feared team in Illinois. Even though the defense tried their hardest to give the game away in the final seconds once again, the Seahawks emerged as a team that is sure to be a force in the NFC playoff picture. With only one remaining road game left, history is on the side of the Seahawks, and the loss to the Rams by the 49ers only seemed to cement our destiny as a team on the rise. Offensive game ball I don’t care how we ended up winning this game (offense), or who caught the game winning TD (Sidney Rice), this weeks game ball will always go to Russell Wilson. My goodness how this kid has matured right in front of our very eyes week by week. This could have been another kick in the gut, give up because the defense let you down, kind of overtime performance, but this kid didn’t give up, he led his down the field for the game winning TD. At times it looked like this kid had to do it all on Sunday. (Photo: seahawks.com) Frankly I wouldn’t have wanted to just go for the field goal and give our defense another chance to lose this thing for us either. Oh, he had help in this one, a TD by Golden Tate, and another by Marshawn Lynch, but this win was all on Wilson. Even in the drive to give the Hawks the lead with just seconds remaining in the 4th was an absolute thing of beauty to watch. I, like the rest of you, thought that the drive was going to go for not after the D let the Bears off the hook with only 4 seconds remaining. Overtime came, and Russell Wilson led the charge right back down the field once again for another TD, that is why he will be the Rookie of the Year, and that is why he deserves this game ball in week 13. Defensive game ball Does anybody even deserve this? For the second week in a row this unit has failed (Ok, harsh, but its how I feel) us as fans, the coaching staff, and their offensive and special teams units. But, if I had to give it to a player, that player would be Bobby Wagner. The rookie linebacker had a team high 9 tackles, including a sack, which resulted in the Bears losing 7 yards on the play. There was a really good view of Pete Carroll giving Wagner a hug as the two walked off the field after the overtime win, so I guess Pete agrees with me on this as well.  Stats Box Score  Next week the Seahawks are back home against the birds from the south, the Arizona Cardinals, who are reeling like no other in the tough NFC West.
