The Seattle Seahawks have used their third pick in the fifth round of the NFL draft on Rice tight end Luke Willson.
The pick was No. 158 overall on Saturday. Despite a lackluster senior season, the 6-foot-5, 251-pound Willson grabbed attention during his pro day when he ran a 4.51 40-yard dash.
Willson was named to the Mackey Award watch list to begin his senior season, only to be slowed by injuries. He played in 11 of 13 games, but caught just nine passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns. As a sophomore and junior, Willson had 62 combined catches for 738 yards and six touchdowns.
Willson, a native of Ontario, has already been drafted once. He was taken in fourth-round of the CFL draft by the Toronto Argonauts last spring.

The Seattle Seahawks were without a first round pick in an NFL Draft for the 4th time in team history. That of course was a casualty of the Percy Harvin deal. With no first round pick, it makes the next best pick, the second round pick, all that more intriguing.

The Seattle Seahawks made a trade with the Detroit Lions to pick up the 4th pick in the 5th round (137). The Seahawks used the two picks they received yesterday from Baltimore when they slide back 6 picks in the 2nd round to make the move (165, 199).

The Seattle Seahawks finally turned their attention toward the offensive line in the seventh round with the selection of Vanderbilt guard Ryan Seymour.
Seymour is the first of four seventh round selections for the Seahawks.
Seattle needed to add some depth along their offensive line during the draft but elected to address other positions through the first six rounds. Seymour started...
Day 1 in the books
We got Harvin!
Before I get into the potential day 2 picks for the Seattle Seahawks, I want to take a look at a couple things that happened on day 1.
Before the draft, I took to Twitter and Facebook a question to gauge Percy Harvin’s value compared to the talent in this year’s draft. The results where slightly mixed; however, just about everyone agreed that...

Headline: Seahawks 4th round pick
Yesterday Pete Carroll and John Schneider surprised everyone when they selected Texas A&M running back Christine Michael 62nd overall. They made the selection after trading the 56th pick to Baltimore. In that trade the Seahawks received the 62nd, 165th and 199th picks.
After that I felt that the Seattle Seahawks absolutely had to draft...

Seattle’s first pick in the 2013 draft (62nd overall)
The Seattle Seahawks chose to trade their second round pick to the Baltimore Ravens, who selected ILB/OLB Arthur Brown. In exchange, the Seahawks received the Ravens’ second round pick (62nd overall), as well as a fifth rounder (165 overall) and a sixth rounder (199 overall).
What transpired in 2012 for the Seattle Seahawks was nothing short of electric and awe-inspiring. From the emergence of a wavy-haired rookie quarterback from Wisconsin/NC State to the Skittles-loving dreadlocked beast of a tailback, to the hail-mary catch that was(n’t), to the ****-talking cornerback we all grew to hate love and a head coach who [...]The post QOTD: Who Won The...
