DeJon Gomes Gomes takes over the starting role from Brandon Meriweather, who will miss the rest of the season. Meriweather injured his knee this past week in the Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles game. Gomes is in his second season out of Nebraska. He started the first three games of the season, before being replaced by veteran Reed Doughty. This is his second chance to impress the Redskins coaching staff.
