It is unlikely that Titans RB Chris Johnson won't improve upon his lackluster 2011 campaign. The biggest thing going for Johnson will be a full offseason working with the team. A team source recently indicated that Johnson's conditioning played as large of a role in his poor performance last season as anything. Although the team's blocking wasn't great and other factors contributed, Pro Football Wekely hears he simply was out of shape until the second half, when he strung a few solid games together, albeit against poor defenses.

2012 Tennessee Titans offseason positional analysis: RB
Which Chris Johnson will we see this year? Photo by Andrew Strickert for Total Titans
We continue our position by position analysis of the Titans with a look now at the running backs.I was tempted to abide by the saying, "if you can't say anything good about someone, then don't say anything at all." However, if I had followed that advice, then this would...
Sapp wouldn't sign Randy Moss
Randy Moss did not play in the NFL last season, but he announced last week he’s planning to make a comeback for the upcoming season. Warren Sapp, his former teammate in Oakland, says he wouldn’t sign the wide receiver.
“I’ve already played with [Randy] Moss, and what Cris Carter said — first time Cris ever said anything I agree with, I mean it’s the first...
‘Ship has sailed’ on Moss reuniting with Pats
It was considered “doubtful” to transpire even seven months ago, and absolutely nothing has changed since — there won’t be a second tour of duty for Randy Moss in New England.
The Boston Globe reports the “feeling” around the organization is that the “ship has sailed” on a possible Moss-Patriots reunion.
Moss, who announced on Monday...
On the Titans not churning the roster
After trimming the roster to 53 players in early September, the Tennessee Titans made the following changes to said roster:
Donnie Avery was added to the roster;
Quinn Johnson was cut;
Kevin Malast was added to the roster;
Robert Johnson was added to the roster; and
Quinn Johnson was acquired off waivers.
And how were those roster spots created? Respectively,
Kenny Britt...
Titans WR Kenny Britt's Rehab Ahead Of Schedule, Hopes To Return By June
Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt said in an interview on the team's official website that his rehab from a torn ACL is "ahead of schedule," and he said he is "ready" for the start of the season. He said he is able to do everything except cutting in his running, and Friday is scheduled to do field work. "Hopefully I'll be back sooner than later,"...
Randy Moss to come back to the NFL
Over the last week, one of the biggest talks around the NFL is the return of receiver Randy Moss. Moss has spent a little time with a few teams including the Patriots, Vikings and most recently the Titans.
This conversation is a lot like the Peyton Manning scenario going around. He will be playing this next season-but with whom?
To be completely honest I highly hope that Tennessee...
Report: Patriots aren’t interested in Randy Moss
According to Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Glode, the feeling in the New England area is that the Patriots aren’t interested in bringing free agent Randy Moss back for next season.
Even though the Patriots need a vertical threat at the wide receiver position, they need to fill that void through the draft or by signing a free agent that isn’t past his prime.
The Patriots and Randy Moss? Well… “I don’t know if Bill can find it in his heart to forgive him”
Randy Moss raised a bunch of eyebrows and started the buzz this week by saying he wanted to unretire. And the wheels started churning. Could the former Patriots WR be a current Patriots WR?
While I think it’s unlikely (and ill-advised), analysts haven’t downplayed the possibilities. Moss does need structure and an offensive coordinator (like Josh McDaniels) who knows...
