Former Jacksonville Jaguars standout safety Donovin Darius signed a one-day contract with the AFC South franchise, a transaction executed so he can retire as a Jaguar. The 35-year-old played for the Jaguars for eight seasons and appeared in three games with the Miami Dolphins subsequently, ending his career in 2007. A first-round draft choice of the Jaguars in 1998 from Syracuse, Darius started in all 115 games in which he played for the Jaguars, including four seasons in which he started all 16 games.
