Found December 18, 2013 on Football Nation:
After hiring Jeff Fisher in the 2012 season, the Rams have been attempting to be competitive in the ever tough NFC West. Due to starting quarterback Sam Bradford's year-ending injury in 2013, St. Louis has seen a slight downward spiral in their record, and find themselves last in a very tough division. While some are clamoring for the Rams to take another direction at quarterback, Jeff Fisher seems fairly content with Bradford as the quarterback of the future for the organization. Due to Washington's selection of RGIII in 2013, the Rams find themselves with the second overall pick in this years NFL Draft.

Rams moving on from Sam Bradford?

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports,  some people believe the St. Louis Rams could end up getting rid of quarterback Sam Bradford this coming offseason since they’ll likely have two top-ten draft picks thanks to the RG3 trade. Several NFL execs, when assessing that situation, believe it could lead to Bradford’s departure, while team...

Rams reportedly restructured Chris Long’s contract

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports,  the St. Louis Rams restructured the contract of defensive end Chris Long to create more cap room. NFL teams generally want to have a few hundred thousand dollars in cap space available this time of year, if not more. The Rams were down to just $17,000 in cap space the last few weeks, prior to restructuring...

Austin misses Rams practice, but out of boot

St. Louis Rams rookie wide receiver Tavon Austin did not practice Wednesday, but is no longer in a walking boot. Coach Jeff Fisher says Austin is improving but remains day to day. Earlier in the week, Fisher thought there was a chance Austin could practice later in the week. Austin injured his left ankle getting tackled at the end of a 56-yard run in a loss at Arizona in Week 13...

Rams DE Sims says he's appealing fine

St. Louis Rams defensive end Eugene Sims tells The Associated Press he's been fined $7,875 for a hit on the Saints' Darren Sproles, and that he is appealing. NFL spokesman Randall Liu says he hadn't received any fine information and that the league typically receives and confirms fines on Friday. Sims was penalized for unnecessary roughness in the first quarter and...

Chris Long keeps getting better, and he sees light at the end of the tunnel for Rams

DE Chris Long says the Rams still have plenty to play for this season, including a .500 record that would be their first in his six seasons

A reason to watch Bucs-Rams: Robert Quinn

ST. LOUIS (AP) Robert Quinn has been a headache all year long for St. Louis Rams opponents. The defensive end was so good last week that the New Orleans Saints benched their left tackle. "Rob, in my opinion, is the best pass-rushing defensive end in the league," fellow end Chris Long said. "They always have to account for him." Quinn leads the NFC with 15 sacks...

Rams Built for Future Success

In what was a dominating performance, the 6-8 Rams took down the 10-4 New Orleans Saints in a one sided 27-16 affair. The Rams were able to shut down Drew Brees and caused 2 interceptions and sacked him 4 times. Robert Quinn was a force and the secondary did a great job containing their playmakers. This outstanding performance against a top three team showed how good this team is...

Stacy closing in on 1,000 yards

One month into the season, it seemed inconceivable. But with two games to play in 2013, Rams rookie Zac Stacy has a good chance to reach the 1,000-yard barrier in rushing yards. “Considering he got a late start, I think it would be quite a feat,” coach Jeff Fisher said. “Especially against some of the defenses that we faced this year.” Stacy, the fifth-round pick from Vanderbilt...

Zac Stacy is finishing his rookie season strong

ST. LOUIS (AP) Zac Stacy has a good chance at reaching 1,000 yards rushing after a big game against the New Orleans Saints. The Saints probably thought they'd seen the last of the St. Louis Rams' rookie running back early in the first quarter after he was helped off the field by two trainers and listed as questionable for the rest of the game with a hip injury. Instead...

Matthews makes sense, but ...

Everything about Todd McShay's selection of Texas A&M left tackle Jake Matthews for the St. Louis Rams in his initial 2014 mock draft Insider makes sense. But that doesn't make it a slam dunk. Premier tackles can be hard to find, and although the Rams have their left tackle in Jake Long under contract for the next three years, the addition of a player such as Matthews...

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at St. Louis Rams: 2013 Week 16 NFL Pick

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-10) at St. Louis Rams (6-8) Since 1989, there have been 25 instances of a team winning by 17 or more despite losing the first down battle by 9 or more. The Rams have done that 3 times this season alone. Teams are 6-19 ATS off of that type of win as that’s clearly an unsustainable way to win games and it leads to artificially inflated lines and artificially...

Starting Lineups: Trading Places — The St. Louis Rams Have Finally Won

It is a rare thing to ask, but did the St. Louis Rams finally win? No, not the victory over the Saints on Sunday (although it was rather impressive), but did they win the war with rolling the dice and not taking Robert Griffin III? When the Rams decided to deal their rights to the […]The post Starting Lineups: Trading Places — The St. Louis Rams Have Finally Won appeared first...

Buccaneers-Rams Preview

The NFC teams with the longest playoff droughts have ensured that their runs of futility will extend for another season. There are some signs of improvement, however, for the St. Louis Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in recent weeks heading into Sunday's matchup at the Edward Jones Dome. St. Louis (6-8) hasn't been to the postseason since the 2004 campaign while Tampa Bay...
