Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers displayed one of the best regular seasons in NFL history this past season after throwing for 4,643 yards to go along with 45 touchdowns and just six interceptions. Despite Rodgers and the Packers falling short of their goal to reach the Super Bowl, the state of Wisconsin still plans on acknowledging their beloved quarterback for the type of season he displayed in 2011. According to the Associated Press via Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, the state Assembly in Wisconsin plans on honoring this year’s MVP with “Aaron Rodgers Day.” Coincidentally, “Aaron Rodgers Day” would happen to take place on December 12, 2012 (which is 12/12/12) to honor Rodgers since he wears No. 12 for the Packers.
