According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, free agent linebacker Brandon Johnson is scheduled to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers today.
Johnson joined the Bengals in 2008 after spending his first 2 years in the league with the Arizona Cardinals. He played in every regular season and post season Bengals game since, the longest active streak on the team. Along with generating over 80 tackles during his first season with the team, Johnson also had 3.5 sacks, 3 interceptions,1 forced fumble, and 14 passes defensed throughout his career wit the Bengals.
Depsite the team’s effors to indirectly reduce Johnson’s playing time on defense since 2008; by drafting linebackers and signing free agents, Johnson has reshaped his overall importance to the team through playing on special teams. He was team captain of that unit in 2010.
Cincinnati made little effort to bring back Johnson this year after a series of single year deals. With Rey Maualuga, Thomas Howard, starting and Dan Skuta, Dontay Moch...

Bengals guard Jacob Bell walks away from football
Newly acquired Cincinnati Bengals guard Jacob Bell, an eight year veteran of the NFL, has decided to call it quits. The Bengals signed the offensive lineman on April 12th, but Bell has opted to walk away from the sport he loves. “There were a lot of factors and discussions with my family and myself and I think it was the right decision to be made,” he said.
Bell arrived in...
Terrell Owens and his baby mamas solve nothing on Dr. Phil, but that wasn't the point
It's easy to be conflicted on Terrell Owens. On one hand, he's a self-destructive, irresponsible, absent father with an addiction to attention -- which is probably what landed him on an episode of "Dr. Phil" that taped Monday and aired Tuesday afternoon.
But on the other hand, you have to wonder how much of an impact a difficult upbringing and potential issues...
Doctors Clear Bengals WR Jordan Shipley
Jordan Shipley posted on Twitter that he's been cleared by noted orthopedist Dr. James Andrews to resume full team activities without any restrictions. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that Shipley still needs to be cleared by the Bengals' doctors before hitting the field in late May. Shipley suffered an ACL tear in the season opener last year. Terrell Owens will appear on Dr. Phil to encounter mothers of his children
In what sounds like the greatest hour of television since "Who Shot J.R.?", Allen Wranglers wide receiver Terrell Owens will make an appearance this week with Dr. Phil. This is not a joke. This is not one of those Onion posts where you take two of the most ridiculous things on the planet and bring them together in a sort of, "yea it's funny, but nothing like...

Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens will be face-to-face on Dr. Phil today with three women who contend he is behind on payments of child support according to Tom Weir of USA Today. Former Bengal Chris Crocker visited with Lions
Former Cincinnati Bengals safety Chris Crocker visited with the Detroit Lions on Tuesday, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. The free agent defensive back left Detroit without a contract and has a scheduled visit with the Cardinals next and possibly the San Francisco 49ers after that.
The Lions are looking to beef up their defensive backfield following a spate...
Braylon Edwards still rehabbing his knee
It’s been reported that both the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Jets are interested in free agent wide receiver Braylon Edwards, but according to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer he may not get signed until he’s done rehabbing his knee in Miami.
If Edwards does end up getting signed this offseason, which I believe is likely, he’ll probably only get a one-year deal...
Former Eagles WR Terrell Owens Pathetic on Dr. Phil
So, I watched T.O.’s appearance on Dr. Phil on Tuesday. And it was just sad.
It was sad seeing a man with little maturity and no sense of responsibility in the midst of ruining the lives four innocent children.
Four children by four different women. You have to ask questions about the decision-making abilities of all involved, especially baby mamas 3 and 4, but in the end, it’s...
TO’s appearance on Dr Phil with his baby mamas was tragic
Forever controversial, future hall-of-fame wide receiver Terrell Owens went into what was likely his most hostile huddle yet: all of his baby's mommas and Dr Phil as his quarterback. They all gathered to work things out and figure out what is best for the four kids. This was for the kids right?
Report: Jets, Bengals interested in Braylon Edwards
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter via Evan Silva, both the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Jets are interested in free agent wide receiver Braylon Edwards.
Edwards was hobbled by injuries last season while playing for the San Francisco 49ers, which ended up leading to him being released before the end of the season.
