The Pittsburgh Steelers kickoff their 2013 season Sunday against the Tennessee Titans and below are my fantasy football stat projections for the black and gold offensive players.
Feel free to add your own projections in the comments below.
Ben Roethlisberger - 32 attempts, 20 completions, 250 yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception.
Roethlisberger should hit the 30,000 yard plateau with ease Sunday, but with the team wanting to establish the run, his numbers aren't unlikely to be off the chart.
Isaac Redman - 15 carries, 56 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 reception, 12 yards, no touchdowns.
In 46 career games, Redman has only carried the ball 15 times or more just twice. Being as head coach Mike Tomlin wants to get his other running backs playing time against the Titans, Redman is unlikely to set the fantasy world on fire Sunday afternoon.
Felix Jones -11 carries, 51 yards, no touchdowns, 2 receptions, 14 yards, no touchdowns.
Jones knows his role as a complimentary back and figures to spell...

When you look at the way the Pittsburgh Steelers played against the Tennessee Titans yesterday, it is difficult to see anything good. They can’t protect their quarterback and if this continues Ben Roethlisburger is not going to make it through the season. He was sacked 5 times.
The Steelers had no running game that the Titans respected. When was the last time we saw a Steelers...
As the injuries, procedures, and surgeries continue to pile up for Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers, just how much can his body take?
At 31, he fully recovered from minor surgery on his right knee, but it’s the same surgery he had in 2005 on his left knee.
Over the last several years Roethlisberger has suffered numerous injuries, from a cracked rib that could have...
Steelers running back Isaac Redman accounted for just 16 yards from scrimmage on 10 touches Sunday.Fantasy Spin:Redman had eight carries for nine yards and two catches for seven. The running back failed to impress as a starter last season so we shouldn't expect him to break out now. Le'Veon Bell could be back as soon as Week 2 from his foot injury.
Ben Roethlisberger didn’t do anything special. Roethlisberger threw for 191 yards, 1 touchdown, and an interception. Ben didn’t complete many passes that went of 10 yards or more. Not all of the Steelers’ passing problems were because of Roethlisberger. There was some questionable play-calling, and the Titans really locked down on the Steelers’ receivers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers 2013 season kickoffs in just a matter of hours and below are the closing over/under lines of several proposition bets courtesy of the betting website Bodog.
Feel free to take a stab at each of these in the comments below.
Ben Roethlisberger - Total Passing Yards in the 2013 Regular Season - Over/Under 3500
Ben Roethlisberger - Total Passing Touchdowns in the...
An MRI Sunday revealed Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey tore his MCL and ACL in his right knee and will need surgery, confirmed head coach Mike Tomlin. Pouncey, 24, was carted off the field in the first
Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu timed the snap perfect to sack Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker on Sunday. Via SBNation.com: The post Watch: Troy Polamalu perfectly times Titans snap count, sacks Jake Locker appeared first on Sports Glory.
Pittsburgh halfback LaRod Stephens-Howling tore his right ACL Sunday against the Titans.Fantasy Spin:He's been placed on IR, which means he's done for the year. That leaves the backfield duties to Isaac Redman and Felix Jones. Pittsburgh's offense hasn't looked this bad in a long time.

The injuries continue to pile up for the Pittsburgh Steelers as backup running back LaRod Stephens-Howling is now out of the game with a right knee injury.
Stephens-Howling replaced starter Isaac Redman, who fumbled twice in the first half. Felix Jones is now the next man up at running back if Redman is not put back in.
The Steelers have already lost Maurkice Pouncey (knee) and Cortez...

It’s agonizingly difficult to find a silver lining in Sunday's defeat at the hands of the Tennessee Titans, and even upon an extremely close analysis, there may only be a thread of optimism that can be found, and that is in the fact that there are still 15 games left to play.
An effort can made to minimize the loss, but it was a home game season opener in which...
Wanna be depressed? Go ahead and read our Pirates and Steelers recaps. Outside of Andrew McCutchen or Ben Roethlisberger dying I don’t think yesterday could have gone much worse for the respective teams. I don’t think people are considering that the Pirates can still miss the playoffs. They’ve been in first or second for so…
It's amazing how much I missed football. I didn't realize it until the full Sunday slate kicked off and then for 15 minutes I was ecstatic.
Until my Survivor Pick, the Steelers, lost their starting center to a torn ACL and shortly thereafter Isaac Redman, whom I started over Eddie Lacy in one league and Rueben Randle in another, fumbled on the five-yard line. Then...
