Ed Bouchette is reporting via twitter that free agent tight end Leonard Pope will be visiting with the Steelers today.  Pope was one of my sleeper free agents that the Steelers might take a run at.  Pope will come at low cost.  He is also a guy who has followed Todd Haley from city to city.

Pope was drafted by the Cardinals in 2008.  Haley was the offensive coordinator in Arizona.  Pope followed Haley to Kansas City and could now be on his way to the Steel City.  Pope is mostly a blocking tight end who could help the Steelers out in the run game.

Pope would be a good addition if he comes at the right price.  The Steelers can probably wait to see if they get a tight end in the draft before bringing on Pope.  He has not received much interest as he is just a blocking tight end.
