Steelers are sending GM to watch QB Teddy Bridgewater play tonight

According to a Louisville TV station WDRB there will be at least 26 NFL scouts in attendance, from 20 teams. Jacksonville has asked for three credentials, including one for Jaguars GM David Caldwell. Pittsburgh will also have its GM, Kevin Colbert, present. And Tampa Bay is sending Eric Stokes, the team’s director of scouting, the […]

Pittsburgh Steelers: Why the defense will rebound against the Jets

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ defense has been the only part of the team that hasn’t taken that much heat during this winless season. That was until the Minnesota Vikings carved them up. The defense displayed their worst performance all season long in that loss. The Steelers are coming off a bye week and will take on the New York Jets in week 6. The Jets will be coming into the match...

Missouri dog sitter: Todd Haley, wife owe me $11k

Todd Haley has quickly become one of the most infamous names in sports, and while his private life slowly leaks to the public, the Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator is probably wondering who let the dogs out. It’s one thing not to pay a bill, but in a league where Michael Vick was once the biggest criminal for abusing dogs, anything involving man’s best friend simply...

Game Over: Mike Tomlin Takes Away Steelers Toys And Games For Poor Play

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been naughty boys this season, losing all of their games and getting embarrassed on the field most games. Well bad boys don’t get toys. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has taken away all games from the Steelers locker room until they get “back on track.” That means no pool, no ping pong and no shuffleboard. One veteran player described the new situation...

Steelers still searching for right mix on the line

The Steelers' revolving door at left tackle continued to swing this week. Second-year player Kelvin Beachum and seventh-year veteran Levi Brown, acquired Oct. 2 in a trade with Arizona, have split first-team reps this week, as the Steelers (0-4) prepare to face the New York Jets (3-2) in East Rutherford, N.J. Both should play, but the starter likely will be a game-time decision...

Report: Recently Released S Will Allen Spotted Wednesday At Steelers Facility

Color me a bit shocked. According to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, safety Will Allen was spotted at the Pittsburgh Steelers facility on Wednesday just one day after he was released by the Dallas Cowboys. The Steelers had a chance to re-sign Allen during the offseason, but chose not to and the veteran safety wound up signing a one-year qualifying contract with the...

Todd Haley sued after allegedly trashing rental home

The Steelers are struggling. Offensive coordinator Todd Haley is under fire for how badly Pittsburgh's offense has performed. And you have to wonder about his job security in just his second year under head coach Mike Tomlin. Oh and he's being sued by a homebuilder who claims that Haley and his wife trashed the $1.4 million rental in which they were living after they already...

Mike Tomlin Bans All Games From Steelers Locker Room

A bit of an overreaction, I doubt Playstation is the reason the Steelers are losing, but according to ESPN, Tomlin has banned all games (pool, ping-pong, cards, video games and etc) from the locker room. I have to confirm if air hockey was also banned, if so, then Tomlin must be fired, it isn’t American to ban air hockey. I am sure they will find a way to blame GTA V for this.

Offense provides a glimpse of promise

Lost in all the losses lost in all the turnovers on and off the field and the "total panic mode" they've now been in for a month is a glimmer of hope for the Steelers. It can be found in their offense which had to dig itself out of a hole not of its own doing from the start of the season. The Steelers offense started the regular season without two key components -...

Willie Colon Instilling His ‘Don’t Back-Down Mentality’ With The Jets

When former Pittsburgh Steelers guard Willie Colon signed with the New York Jets back in March, he let the local media know that while he didn't have any ill-feelings toward his former team, he did have "big ass chip" on his shoulder. Colon, who will face the Steelers Sunday, told the media Wednesday that it will be just another game for him. "I’m not going into...

Steelers Versus Jets: Bad Momentum Versus Good Momentum

By Jeremy Hritz Dick LeBeau’s defense has had much success against rookie quarterbacks, losing only two games against Troy Smith and the Baltimore Ravens in 2007, and in 2012 against Brandon Weedon and the Cleveland Browns. Heading into Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, LeBeau and his boys will line up across from former Mountaineer Geno Smith in hopes of not only increasing...
