Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media on Tuesday for his weekly press conference and here is the injury report he provided for the upcoming week 3 game against the Oakland Raiders.
Tomlin said that they will take the same approach this week with safety Troy Polamalu (calf) and linebacker James Harrison (knee) as they did last week. Tomlin said they are simply going to work day-to-day with those two and see how their bodies respond to work. They will start with informal workouts and work up to practice at some point and see where it all leads to. Tomlin says both are of course Read more [...]

On Sunday the Pittsburgh Steelers moved to 1-1 on the young season with a 27-10 win over the New York Jets and they did so with out the services of linebacker James Harrison and safety Troy Polamalu. Harrison of course has yet to suit up this season, while Polamalu missed the Sunday game with a strained left calf injury.
Up next for the Steelers is a trip out west take on the...
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin met the media on Tuesday for his weekly press conference to talk about the win Sunday over the New York Jets and discuss the upcoming week 3 game against the Oakland Raiders. Below are the talking points along with the audio.

The Pittsburgh Steelers defensive isn't expected to get much help this weekend. Linebacker James Harrison and safety are unlikely to play against the Oakland Raiders this Sunday, according to an ESPN.com report, though the team will have a better idea about Polamalu on Friday. The Steelers have their bye in Week 4. Harrison hasn't played since the Steelers lost to Denver...
According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, we shouldn’t expect Steelers linebacker James Harrison to be back on the field until week five. This means he’ll likely miss the next two games.
Do not expect James Harrison to play until after Sept 30 bye week.

As expected, Pittsburgh linebacker James Harrison will miss Sunday's game with the New York Jets.Fantasy Spin:This is good news for the Jets offense as a healthy Harrison is a disruptive force to be reckoned with. Harrison had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Aug. 15.
If that headline doesn't give me all the Google traffic then I quit blogging.
I guess I have to appreciate having readers who are porn aficionados, as previously we had Andy send over this pink Steelers Troy Polamalu jersey in a porn scene as well as a screenshot of another porn scene of a chick ripping off a Big Ben standard Black and Gold Steelers jersey.
Now thanks to...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison likely won’t play this week. He’s still recovering from a knee scope that he underwent during the preseason.
The Steelers are clearly being cautious with Harrison. The worst they can do is rush him back and then he ends up suffering a set back and they lose him for the season.
The Pittsburgh Steelers defense unveiled a new Big Nickel look on Sunday in their 27-10 win over the New York Jets when they broke out their 4-2-5 personnel group that featured four defensive linemen and no outside linebackers on the field.
Head coach Mike Tomlin was asked about this new sub-package grouping on Tuesday during his press conference. “We tend to lean on it from...
Both via Etsy (sid, troy).
While I enjoy the images (including this Freddy Mercury one), I'm kinda disappointed that there's no Dock Ellis equivalent. Or maybe he was way too real for this experiment, and the result would've been some temporal anomaly. CHAOS.
Last week: 6 (+0)
Home sweet home for the Steelers. It looks like their home/road disparity has carried over from last season. This team was -22 on the road last year and +120 at home last year. The Raiders get a chance to right the ship on the road this week as they go to Oakland before an early bye week 4. The Steelers hope to get James Harrison and Troy Polamalu back...
Sure. Okay. We’ll admit it. This loss hurt. The ghosts of the AFC championship defeat were there for us and we will assume many other diehards as we watched. Many of us would have loved nothing more than having Mike Tomlin exit at 0-2.
A little payback.
That said, the Jets are 1-1, in a four way tie for first in the AFC East, and nowhere near any panic buttons that many thought...
