On Sunday, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will make his 16th straight start of the season when the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field and it will mark just the second time in his career that he's been able to accomplish that feat. Roethlisberger hasn't missed a snap all season long and should he play every snap on Sunday against the Browns, it will be the first time in his career that he's been able to pull that off. As Steelers PR man Burt Lauten pointed out this morning on Twitter, Roethlisberger, who last started all 16 games in 2008, has owned his former home state Browns at Heinz Field since coming into the league as he comes into this game with an all-time home record of 8-0 against them. .@steelers QB @_BigBen7 owns an 8-0 all-time record at @heinzfield vs. CLE w/ 14 TDs, 6 INTs, 1,932 yards & a 109.1 passer rating. — Burt Lauten (@SteelersPRBurt) December 24, 2013 In those eight games, Roethlisberger, was a combined 129-of-196 (65.8%) passing for 1,932 yards with 14 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions. That computes to an old school quarterback rating of 109.1. Heading into the offseason, Roethlisberger will have two years left on his current contract and all signs point to him receiving another extension. He certainly picked a good year to be an Iron Man and a win Sunday against the Browns will ensure that he doesn't suffer his first losing season.
