Steelers came to terms with their number one draft pick David DeCastro yesterday. DeCastro who fell beautifully to the Steelers at pick number 24 signed a 4 year contract worth approximately $7.814 million with a 5th year option. Based on the rookie wage scale the first 3 years are fully guaranteed. There is a good chance that DeCastro will begin the season as a starter as long as things go smoothly at camp.
All the Steelers’ rookies are now signed and can all report to camp on time. The only unsigned player for the Steelers is WR Mike Wallace.
