Bruener was drafted by the Steelers in 1995 as the 25th-overall pick and played for the Steel City's proud team for nine years before playing five seasons with the Houston Texans. Bruener serves on the NFL Players Association Executive Committee and, starting on Sept. 1, he will do both the college and pro scouting for the Steelers part-time.
