Antonio Brown takes high school team to see 'Concussion'

Commissioner Roger Goodell might not be revealing whether or not he plans to see the new film "Concussion." But others in the NFL, like Antonio Brown, are viewing it — and sharing its message with the up-and-coming generation of football players.

The Pittsburgh Steelers' wide receiver reportedly took a local high school football team to an advanced screening of the film on Tuesday evening.

WPXI reported that Brown didn't just want to educate the Clairton High School Bears about degenerative brain disease, but to open their eyes to protecting themselves on the playing field, even at the high school level.

"These high school kids, they've got to be aware of their future and to raise some awareness and some positivity to come out and to spend some time in the community is always a pleasure."

Although it hasn't officially opened in theaters yet, "Concussion" has raised a lot of discussion and argument over the NFL's concussion protocols and how the league deals with brain trauma. The drama, for which actor Will Smith has received a Golden Globe nomination, hits theaters on Christmas Day.
