No one around Valley Ranch seems sure when DeMarco Murray will return to playing in football games. Thursday’s 38-31 loss to the Washington Redskins marked the sixth consecutive game the second-year running back has missed because of a sprained left foot that he suffered on Oct. 14. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones was asked about Murray on Monday and said he didn’t know if the team’s top back would make his return Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Specifically asked if he felt more confident than past weeks, Jones responded: “Sure. More so than past weeks, absolutely.” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett continues to say that Murray is making progress but still hasn’t passed all of the tests needed to clear him for a game. “He’s chomping at the bit to play and we just have to be patient with him and make sure that he’s doing everything necessary before we put him in a situation to practice and then play in the ballgame,” Garrett said Monday. “He’s certainly made progress the last few days.” Source: Dallas Morning News Posted via Mobile Device Attached Thumbnails
