Giants Football Blog:
The Giants finally arrived in San Francisco last night after a long travel day. They were grounded at Newark Liberty Airport for two hours due to a mechanical problem and then spent six hours in the air, getting to their hotel less than 24 hours before kickoff, which is not the norm.
But keep in mind, the Giants are the team that was stranded in transit after the collapse of the Metrodome last year. Minor delays don’t fluster them at this point of the game anyway. The Giants won’t really get a chance to unwind, which means they’ll still have an edge tonight.
Some injuries to watch….
For the Giants: WR Hakeem Nicks (ankle), TE Jake Ballard (knee), C David Baas (illness)
For San Francisco: LB Patrick Willis (knee), WR Ted Ginn Jr. (knee), CB Tarell Brown (thigh), S Dashon Goldson (ankle)

New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was limited in practice on Friday after rolling his ankle. He’s been officially listed as probable for Sunday’s NFC title game against the 49ers. It would be a surprise if he isn’t able to play.
“Rolled it a little bit,” Nicks said. “Same one. Same one I rolled earlier in the season. Same one I always roll.”
