Prior to the start of the 2012 NFL season, Joe Flacco decided he wanted to put off contract talks until after the season. Many thought this was a gutsy move and that Flacco would be starting for another team come the start of the 2013 season.Sunday night at Super Bowl 47, Mr. Flacco cashed in on his gamble of a lifetime, leading his Baltimore Ravens to a 34-31 win against the San Francisco 49ers and winning the MVP award.  Flacco went 22 of 33 and threw for 287 yards and three touchdowns. With those three touchdowns, Flacco joins Joe Montana atop the all-time list of most touchdowns thrown in a postseason, not to mention, he did it without throwing an interception.San Francisco definitely did not go down without a fight. After trailing at halftime, 21-6, and giving up a 108-yd kick-off return to Jacoby Jones to start the second half, the 49ers came back  to within five after Michael Crabtree and Frank Gore found the end zone and David Akers put one between the uprights.Second-year quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, later ran in a 15-yarder to pull within two of the Ravens, late in the fourth. However, it wouldn't be enough as Baltimore's head coach, Jim Harbaugh, decided to take a safety in endzone with :04 left on the clock. The ensuing punt was too deep to handle a long return and the Baltimore Ravens were crowned Super Bowl Champions for the first time since 2000.After a dismal first half, this shaped up to be one of the most memorable Super Bowls of recent memory for multiple reasons: the freaky "blackout" of the second half, the Harbaugh brothers, Ray Lewis, Torrey Smith, OJ Brigance, Randy "I'm the Best Wide Receiver in History" Moss, Colin Kaepernick and the origination of the pistol offense. The storylines alone were almost too much to handle leading up to Sunday's game.Although, when it was all said and done, the trophy was lifted, the confetti was swept up and the interviews were over, Joe Flacco just wrote his contract extension and won't have to worry about negotiations for quite a while. Ravens' owner, Steve Bisciotti, told reporters: "Bottom line is we have our quarterback for the next 10 years, and we're going to ride Joe."  Congratulations Jackpot Joe Cool and the rest of the Baltimore Ravens.
