If you don’t know the name Brittney Payton, you soon will. The offspring of the greatest Chicago Bears player in history, Walter Payton, is keeping the family name in the spotlight. Brittney Payton WGN-TV and CLTV present Chicago’s Best – a weekly half-hour food and lifestyle program celebrating the best the Windy City has to offer. On Brittney’s Facebook page she writes: I am Chicago’s Best host! Or was it a host of Chicago’s Best? Why not both? :-) Obviously, you know how she got her start in media. With family connections like that……But nepotism is CRAZY in the Chicago media market. You have the Ponces, the Jordans, Lauren Jiggetts has first gig out of j-school because her dad was former Bears lineman and CSN analyst Dan Jiggetts. Then her second gig is in the the nation’s third largest market. Anyways, Brittney Payton was born in 1985, the same year of the legendary Bears Super Bowl XX triumph. She graduated from DePaul University in 2008 with a degree in Communications, after growing up in Barrington, IL. She wrote her own chapter in the book PAYTON (chapter 11: In His Shadow) and currently works for by the Big Ten Network. Paul M.
