Draft picks are time valued entities, a present pick’s value is far greater than one moved to the next year, and the Kansas City Chiefs would prefer to have a 2013 selection rather than a 2014 pick. If the Chiefs can't get a deal done before or during the draft, they will have to settle for a 2014 pick, if they want any value out of the franchised tackle, this is the time to deal him. So as the NFL Draft nears, the Chiefs and Miami Dolphins are talking a possible trade of disgruntled tackle Branden Albert. According to Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com, talks are heating up on a trade that would benefit both teams. Rosenthal writes: ‘The Dolphins want to give Albert a physical. Rapoport has previously reported that the Dolphins know Albert's salary demands, which are expected to top $8 million per season. The Dolphins also know Kansas City's asking price: A second-round pick. Presumably they wouldn't give Albert a physical unless they were willing to pay that, althoug...

Jon Gruden critical of Dion Jordan: He’s one-dimensional (Video)

Jon Gruden has been criticized for his easy-going commentary in the “Monday Night Football” booth, but he certainly showed his “Chucky” side when commenting on the Miami Dolphins’ selection of Dion Jordan at No. 3 overall in the NFL Draft on Thursday. Gruden, who is generally positive in his commentary, expressed many reservations about the Dolphins’ pick. “When I watch...

Dolphins looking at trading up, possibly for Joeckel?

This week, everyone seems to have a rumor about the Miami Dolphins and a theory about what they are going to do in this year’s draft. The truth is, this is exactly what the Dolphins want.  They do not want anyone to know if they are trading up, or down, or sideways (wait, what?).  They don’t want other teams to know what players they are really interested in. This time of year...

Miami Dolphins 2013 Schedule: Predicting the Wins and Losses

Your impression of the Dolphin’s schedule probably depends on whether you’re a glass half-full or half-empty person.  On the one hand, the team never has to travel any farther west than New Orleans.  That makes for a lot of short road trips and no jet lag.  On the other hand, the Dolphins’s opponents have a combined win percentage of .519, seventh toughest in the league...

New Dolphins uniform images leaked

The new Miami Dolphins uniforms are to be officially unveiled Thursday, but just like the new logo, it appears someone has let the cat out of the bag prematurely. In a photo making the rounds on Twitter on Tuesday, two Dolphins uniforms -- one with an aqua jersey and one in all white -- are seen. Legitimizing the photo is the Jaguars uniform in the background, which matches exactly...

Draftinsider's Tony Pauline believes there's a "99.9 percent" chance the Dolphins will trade wide receiver Davone Bess to Cleveland for draft picks.Fantasy Spin:Bess (61 catches, 778 yards, one TD in 2012) would be more of a fantasy asset in Cleveland than he would be if he stayed in Miami. The Browns are expected to give up a mid-round draft choice as part of the trade.

Report: Money is keeping Brandon Albert from being traded to the Dolphins

According to Rotoworld.com, ESPN’s Ed Werder has reported that the hold up with sending Brandon Albert from the Chiefs to the Dolphins has to do with the amount of money he’s looking for in a long-term extension. ESPN’s Ed Werder reported Wednesday that money is indeed the holdup in Branden Albert-to-Miami trade discussions. The report runs in direct contrast to Ian Rapoport...

Davone Bess reportedly on his way out of Miami

BY NICK ST. DENISThe Miami Dolphins previously claimed receiver Davone Bess was in their long-term plans. That doesn't look so good, anymore.According to Tony Pauline of DraftInsider.net, there's just a .1 percent chance (yeah, you read that right) that Bess won't be traded to the Cleveland Browns.
