Jacob Tamme has been both critical and capable during his career with the Colts due to injuries to Dallas Clark.  Last year it was clear that he'd developed a rapport with Manning.  This year he's facing a starkly different situation like the rest of the offense.  He comments in an interview with LostLetterman:

JT: Peyton is the best in the world at doing what he does – just running an offense, getting people in the right spots and calling plays. He’s doing the things above and beyond what a quarterback does. We just have to trust Curtis; he’s been doing a lot of good things. We just have to make some plays to help him out. It’s a little bit of a different offense but, at the same time, we just have to go out there and do the same things that we’ve done. And Curtis can do that.
