This Sunday, the 1-0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers will travel to East Rutherford to take on the 0-1 New York Giants.

This article examines my three bold predictions for this weekend's matchup.

TB: Doug Martin will rush for 150 or more yards

In Week 1, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rushed the ball for 130 yards on 36 attempts with rookie running back Doug Martin rushing for 95 yards on 24 attempts.

In Week 1, the New York Giants' defense allowed 143 rushing yards to the Dallas Cowboys with 131 yards being gained by DeMarco Murray on 20 attempts.

Rookie head coach Greg Schiano seems to like using the running game as a prominent part of the offense, and with quarterback Josh Freeman doing okay but not great in Week 1, expect lots of touches for Martin in Week 2. If New York's defense does not play better than it did in Week 1, expect Martin to have his first 150-yard rushing game.

NYG: Eli Manning will throw for lots of yards

In Week 1 New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning threw for 213 yards and a touchdown on 21 completions, with leading receiver Victor Cruz having six receptions and 58 yards.

Tampa Bay's defense in Week 1 allowed Carolina quarterback to rack up 303 passing yards and  a touchdown, while top receiver Steve Smith accounted for 106 yards.

Tampa Bay showed they still have work to do with their passing defense, and if Manning is able to consistently get the ball to Cruz, Domenik Hixon, and Hakeem Nicks, it could be a long day for Tampa Bay's corners and safeties.

TB: Tampa Bay wins this game

On offense Tampa Bay will effectively use their running game against the New York defense, and Josh Freeman and receivers Vincent Jackson, Dallas Clark, and Mike Williams will do enough to help Tampa Bay come out ahead on the scoreboard.

On defense in Week 1 Tampa Bay gave up only 10 rushing yards. On offense for New York the team managed only 82 rushing yards and finished the game with 4.3 yards a carry. Tampa Bay will stifle New York's running game, and win the turnover battle, and for a second week in a row cement a win for the upstart Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
