As he enters his second season, Blidi Wreh-Wilson is pushing hard for a starting job in a Titans secondary that's brimming with opportunity.

Capable of playing both cornerback and nickelback, the 2013 third-round pick has exercised his body and mind to secure a prominent role, incorporating audio books into his routine.

You might think there's nothing wrong with the use audio books. But his teammates do.

"He thinks I'm weird because I listen to them," Wreh-Wilson said of cornerback Jason McCourty, per the Tennessean. "Sorry, but I need brain food. It works for me …"

Slightly unorthodox methods aside, Wreh-Wilson recognizes a stark improvement from his rookie campaign, when he received a whopping 93 snaps on defense.

"There has been a lot of growth since last year," he said. "Last year I just learned how to play my technique and things like that, and through the season I just learned about NFL football. This offseason I feel like I understood what the offenses are really about, what the defenses are really about. I understood the little details, and I can tell that in my game."

Following the free-agent departure of cornerback Alterraun Verner, the Titans planned to promote from within. Wreh-Wilson, who stands 6-foot-1 and has 4.53 wheels, is considered first in line to start opposite McCourty.
