Linebacker Tedy Bruschi and broadcaster Gil Santos will be the newest members inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame, the team announced on Tuesday. Bruschi edged out fellow finalists offensive tackle Leon Gray and head coach Chuck Fairbanks. “Mr. Kraft called me on the phone last night and let me know, gave me the news,” Bruschi said. “He told me he was very proud of me to be inducted in the Patriots Hall of Fame, and I told him how much it meant to me.” Patriots owner Robert Kraft indicated Bruschi received about 75 percent of the vote. Bruschi was also elected to the College Football Hall of Fame earlier this month. Bruschi will be the 19th player in the Hall, joining 2012 inductee Troy Brown. Bruschi was drafted by the Patriots in the third round of the 1996 NFL draft, spending 13 seasons with New England. He won three Super Bowls and was a two-time Pro Bowler during his time with the team. Bruschi won the 2005 Comeback Player of the Year Award, returning to the football field ...

Why is someone like wide receiver Mark Harrison available to Patriots?--WEEI

Why is someone like wide receiver Mark Harrison available to Patriots?--WEEI: He’s a great read published by Christopher Price explaining why Mark Harrison was available for the Pats.  At first glance, the numbers jump off the page. Wide receiver Mark Harrison was a three-year starter at Rutgers who finished his college career with 107 receptions for 1,769 yards and 18 touchdowns...

Kyle Love fires back at Patriots: ‘That’s how they run their business up there’

Former New England Patriots defensive tackle Kyle Love is happy being a Jacksonville Jaguar, but he’s not surprised he now finds himself one. "That’s how they run their business up there," Love said of the Patriots organization who dumped him last week.

Brandon Spikes likely done in New England after this season

Tom Curran of believes that it’s pretty obvious that linebacker Brandon Spikes will be playing his final season with the Patriots in 2013. The writing on the wall is becoming more legible when it comes to Brandon Spikes. Despite the fact he is the best purveyor of on-field nasty the Patriots have, Spikes’ distaste for the Patriots expectations of how to get ready for...

New England Patriots Offensive Line Projected Best in 2013-2014

Rotoworld recently put together their projected list of best offensive lines in the NFL for the upcoming season using rankings from Pro Football Focus and Football Outsiders, and the New England Patriots have been given the #1 spot. The Pats o-line has five returning starters and a potentially better right guard in Marcus Cannon replacing incumbent Dan Connolly for next year, so...

Tom Brady Says He No Longer Gets ‘Caught Up in Anger and Frustration and Disappointment’ Over Patriots’ Decisions

It’s easy for Patriots fans to imagine Tom Brady being irked when longtime friend and productive teammate Wes Welker signed with the Broncos this offseason after the Patriots failed to give much of a chase. But heading into his 14th year in the league, Brady has seen his share of personnel moves, and — like any good quarterback looking down the field — he’s adjusted his approach...

The Patriots love for Rutgers players is getting borderline creepy

Ok, now this is getting a little bit weird. It started off as kind of a joke when the Patriots drafted Rutgers corner back Logan Ryan in the fourth round this year. Oh boy, three total Rutgers grads on New England! Then the Patriots reached later in the fourth round to draft Rutgers safety Duron Harmon. A player who was thought by many to maybe even be an undrafted free-agent....

Aqib Talib Starting From Scratch With Patriots, Already Working Hard to Get Ready for Season

FOXBORO, Mass. — Aqib Talib stood under the sizzling sun on the practice fields at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. Tom Brady, Danny Amendola and most other players wore their short-sleeved practice jerseys and shorts as they worked...

Aqib Talib Wanted to Be Back With Patriots All Along, Not Worried About Playing on One-Year Deal

FOXBORO, Mass. – Aqib Talib is right where he wanted to be with the Patriots, even if he’s a little cryptic as to how he got here. “How [did] I end up back here?” Talib responded to a question after OTAs at Gillette Stadium on Tuesday. “I signed a contract, came back.” The veteran cornerback, even if a little vague in his explanation, re-signed with the Patriots during...

Brandon Bolden was absent on the field for the Patriots’ organized training activities on Tuesday. Bolden, who served as a depth running back in 2012, is apparently dealing with an injury in his left foot. He was even seen in Louisiana wearing a walking boot over the weekend, as his fiance Arianna‘s Instagram can attest. Bolden, 23, rushed 56 times for 274 yards and two touchdowns...

Amendola not worried about Welker comparisons

All season long, New England Patriots receiver Danny Amendola will be compared to the guy he replaced in Denver Broncos receiver Wes Welker. But for now, Amendola is trying to put that aside."That's not something I need to worry about," he said Tuesday, via ESPN Boston. "I'm worried about the playbook and getting the routes down and getting on the same page...
