We’re near the end folks. Thirty automatic bids have now been revealed for MSF’s Ultimate Franchise Player Tourney. The final two team installments for UFP are kind of like the Big Ten Championship tipping off at 3 p.m. ET. The selection committee has already been hard at work determining the brackets and seeds – the final two automatic inductees are already assumed to have a place in the field regardless. The real question will be where the second and third place finishers with our final two teams stand in terms of getting one of just 32 at-large bids out of thousands and thousands who have stepped on a NFL playing field. Which brings us to our list of Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans greats – a field so large that we decided to do like NASCAR and let 43 drivers onto the track in honor of Jerry Glanville, who moonlighted behind the wheel during his coaching days, without a lot of success. New Tennessee Titans safety Bernard Pollard left his old team on some bad terms. Rumors of Pollard being involved in an attempted mutiny in Baltimore continue to paint him in the image of a troublemaker. However, Pollard doesn’t want to talk about the Ravens anymore, they are ancient history to him and the only concern for him now is the Titans. The big hitting safety will...

Jaguars sign DE Egboh after 3-day minicamp

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed former Tennessee Titans defensive end Pannel Egboh following a three-day tryout. The 6-foot-6, 277-pound Egboh was one of 18 veteran free agents invited to participate in the team's voluntary minicamp, which ended Thursday. Egboh stood out because of his size. He also got extra repetitions because of injuries to Jeremy Mincey (ear infection...

Assessing the Titans non-G/DL first-round options

There are three basic directions the Titans could choose to go with the tenth overall pick in this month's draft. These three directions are at an offensive guard to fill the vacant starting right guard spot, for a defensive lineman to throw into the defensive line mix, or, less likely than either of the first two in my opinion, some other direction. I covered the top guards...
