When Terrell Suggs said he would return to the gridiron in November from his Achilles tendon injury, many thought he was nuts.

Now the Baltimore Ravens pass-rushing linebacker admits that it is unlikely. Suggs had surgery last month and is now able to walk without crutches. However, his rehab has been slow and there's no way he can return by November.

"We're just going to see where we land," Suggs said Thursday after the team's final minicamp session. "Maybe we were shooting too far. We'll see."

Suggs, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, had 14 sacks last season. This off-season, he injured his Achilles tendon, in which many believe could have happened during a pickup basketball game.

Although a November return is unlikely now, the 29-year-old still sees himself playing in the 2012 season.

"When we did the timetable, you kind of look at the month and I was like, 'Oh, I could be back by then.' But I'm not a doctor," he said. "It feels good now, I guess. I will be in a Baltimore Ravens uniform in 2012. The only question is when."

We'll see how Suggs progresses throughout the year and if he will be in pads sometime during the season.

Bobbie Williams' Departure Actually Means More Than One May Think

Former Bengals offensive guard Bobbie Williams signed a two-year deal worth $2.925 million and an $800,000 signing bonus with the Baltimore Ravens this week. Though the money would have appeared manageable from a salary cap perspective, it should promote Cincinnati's willingness to shift towards their younger players to fill the depth chart. Otis Hudson and Clint Boling were...

Ravens’ rookie Kelechi Osemele is hurt

Joe Flacco has a baby boy

Getty Images Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and his wife Dana gave birth to a healthy eight-pound baby boy named Stephen.  He is their first child and it’ll certainly be interesting to see if he follows in his father’s foot steps and becomes a legit quarterback one day. Congrats to both Joe and Dana and we wish them the best of luck as their family continues to grow.

Bryant McKinnie not a lock to make Ravens?

Bryant McKinnie sat out the Ravens’ minicamp this week to work on his conditioning, which has been a problem for him throughout his career, especially over the last year or so with Minnesota and now Baltimore. The Vikings cut him for his conditioning after the lockout last year and then he signed with Baltimore, where he played solid on the left side. The Ravens decided to keep...

Report: McKinnie having conditioning problems

Ravens' McKinnie battling weight issues again

The Ravens made a judgment call in March when they picked up a $500,000 roster bonus to retain starting left offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie. Ravens OT Bryant McKinnie's Roster Spot In Danger?
