The Penalty Flag:
Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker Terrell Suggs has repeatedly said he will return this season from Achilles tendon surgery. Head Coach John Harbaugh has echoed the same message, and stated so again last week. My best guess for that mysterious return date is December 2 when the Ravens host the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Currently the reigning Defensive Player of the Year is listed on the physically unable to perform list until Oct. 14, and the Ravens will have three weeks after that to either activate him or place him on the injured reserve list, thus ending his season in 2012. It is unlikely Suggs would be ready by the 14th but instead closer to the end of the three weeks the Ravens will have to make their decision.… Read more

The 2012 Baltimore Ravens have had many ups and downs to begin the NFL first quarter this season, both on and off the field. The Ravens found out that they lost Terrell Suggs for the first half of the season prior to the start of training camp, and wide receiver Torrey Smith found out that he lost his brother in a motorcycle accident just hours before the team’s third game. Through...
The Baltimore Ravens are coming off of a ten day rest after playing their first four games in an 18 day stretch and should be well rested heading into their week five match-up with the Kansas City Chiefs. Baltimore enters the contest with a 3-1 record and tied atop the AFC North, while Kansas City holds a 1-3 record and a last place standing in the AFC West. The Ravens are coming...
Ravens safety Ed Reed has taken on more of a leadership role in the locker room, and the eager youngsters on the team are reaping the benefits of his advice.
Reed has become a tireless teacher on topics including film study and keeping fit before and during a long NFL season. Reed knows quite a bit about both, given that he's tallied 59 interceptions, scored 14 touchdowns and...
Last week: 3 (+0)
The Ravens are the 2nd best team in the AFC, by virtue of their 3-1 record, their head-to-head victory over the Patriots, and a point per play differential that ranks tied for 2nd in the league. However, they really left me disappointed against the Browns last week. This team really needs to kick their inconsistency habit. They’ll have a great chance...
Ravens QB Joe Flacco is a top ten fantasy option this week.
Here we are folks, it is already week five of the NFL season and before we know it the fantasy football regular season is going to be half over. Most leagues play a 13 or 14 game regular season, with the playoffs finishing in week 16, so if you are not playing with a sense of urgency yet, you should be.
Ravens safety Ed Reed is playing at a high level this year, despite being 34 years old. He's also tutoring his teammates in the game of football when needed.

Many have been asking all week which team in the NFL is the worst and the Kansas City Chiefs may be declared your winners once you realize how horrid they have been outside of their lone victory over New Orleans.
There are three other...
The Baltimore Ravens bring their 3-1 record to Kansas City to take on the 1-3 Chiefs on Sunday at Noon. The Ravens are coming off a 10-day rest after playing the New England Patriots and Cleveland Browns in a span of four days. Both games the Ravens won at home. Now well rested, quarterback Joe Flacco, and his high-flying birds prepare to take on a down trodden Chiefs team.Flacco has...
The Ravens are 3-1 coming off 10 days rest while the struggling Chiefs are 1-3. Can you spell "Trap Game" ?I think coach Harbaugh is able to get his team in the "proper focus" frame of mind...and to avoid getting trapped into looking past the struggling Chiefs. The Ravens will try to again make things difficult for Matt Cassel, whose turnovers have been one...
Baltimore Ravens (3-1) at Kansas City Chiefs (1-3)
I ranked the Ravens ranked 3rd in my Power Rankings and called them the 2nd best team in the AFC behind Houston because of the head-to-head win over New England and their superior yards per play differential over New England. I think that New England and Baltimore are both going to finish around 12-4 and with Houston likely to win...
Ravens @ Chiefs
Sunday – 10/7/12
This Sunday at 1:00pm the 3-1 Ravens roll into Arrow Head Stadium in Kansas City to take on a struggling 1-3 Chiefs team. Baltimore leads the all-time series between the two with a 3-2 record. Their last meeting ended in a 30-7 beat down in the 2011 playoffs with the Ravens being the victor in that contest. Kansas City is 0-2 at home...

The Ravens are fairly healthy going into their Week 5 game against the Chiefs. It’s predictable because of the extra time off after playing a Thursday night game.
For the Ravens:
Limited participation: OT Jah Reid (calf)
Full participation: WR Torrey Smith (ankle)
For the Chiefs:
Did not participate: WR Jon Baldwin (hamstring), CB Jalil Brown (hamstring), DE Glen Dorsey (calf)...
